From the lable... Festival: As the warm summer sun changes to cool crisp autumn breezes, Eichenberg Vineyard creates this wine for festive occasions.

Prepare your tastebuds, this wine will give them a workout.  All over the map with flavors, the initial nose is smokey and cherry.  The palate is tart and tangy with a hint of sweetness.  The finish is acidic and questionable.

We love Eichenberg wines as they are an excellent example of northern Ozark artisan wine making.  Unfortunately, this bottle just didn't hit it off with us.  Perhaps we'll pick up another bottle when we swing by the Lake of the Ozarks later this summer.

Rating:
6/12 Corks

Recommendation:
Save for a festive occasion only.  This wine exceeded our creativity with when, why, and with what to serve it with.  Don't get us wrong, this is a good Midwestern wine.  We've just tasted better from Eichenberg.  There are better wines available to share at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
